Over the past 10 years in the UK, over 45,000 people have lost their lives to drug-related deaths. Behind every statistic is a person who was someone’s child, brother, sister, parent, friend or colleague.

These deaths were preventable. This October, we’re bringing the Anyone’s Child community together to remember those we’ve lost, raise awareness and campaign for a safer, more compassionate approach to drugs.

Take on the challenge

Walk, run or cycle 45 miles throughout October. It doesn’t matter how you do the distance. Walk a little every day. Take on a few longer routes. Run with friends. Cycle to work. However you choose to reach 45 miles, every mile counts. And every mile you move and every pound you raise will help Anyone’s Child campaign for drug laws that put people’s lives and safety first.

Why 45 miles?

The number 45 represents the 45,000 people who have died from drug-related deaths in the UK over the past decade. This challenge is about remembering the people behind that number, but it’s also about showing that change is possible. Together we can do it.

Sign up today and take on 45 Miles in October with the Anyone’s Child community.

Once you’ve signed up, check out our fundraising pack with everything you need to get started, including guidance on setting up your JustGiving page and tips to help you reach your fundraising goal.

Your fundraising goal

We suggest aiming to raise £150, but whatever you raise will make a difference and help support our campaigning. And there’s an extra thank you: if you raise £200 or more, we’ll send you an Anyone’s Child T-shirt.
