Anyone

Join us this June for our week of action calling for an end to the drug war.

Last year in the UK there were a staggering 4,265 deaths from drug overdose recorded: that’s the highest level in Europe.

The COVID-19 pandemic now poses a serious challenge for communities who already  experience criminalisation, stigmatisation and harm because of our current drug policies. It is more important than ever to campaign for drug policy reform that protects vulnerable people, and to do so safely. Please join us and activists across the world for a number of online activities to mark the Support. Don’t Punish Global Day of Action this year.

Take Drugs Seriously: webinar
Thursday 25th June at 8pm (BST)

  • Johann Hari, author of bestseller ‘Chasing the Scream’.
  • Chris Daw QC, presenter of the BBC series ‘Crime: are we tough enough?’
  • Anne-Marie Cockburn, Anyone’s Child member.
  • Sunny Dhadley FRSA, Anyone’s Child West Midlands Coordinator.

The panellists will discuss their lived experience and why they campaign for the legal control and regulation of drugs. They will explore how we can make change a reality.

We have updated our MP letter in light of the specific and disproportionate burden of the negative consequences associated with the COVID-19 pandemic on communities impacted by the drug war. Let’s push drug policy up the political agenda.

Write to your MP today and request a meeting on June 26 (the Global Day of Action).
